There are DJs and then there's Victor Calderone .
His name reverberates throughout the dance music community with excitement and anticipation. Calderone's impact on dance floors worldwide is undisputed. He has skyrocketed to international "superstar" status with his innovative, tribal-inflected remixes of songs from some of the industry's most successful artists like Madonna, Sting, Destiny's Child, Mandalay, Garbage and Elton John. Victor has also had tremendous success with his own original productions. His 1996 single "Give It Up" was a #1 Billboard Dance Chart hit and it follow-up "Beat Me Harder" was equally successful.
Five years after the success of "Beat Me Harder," Calderone is poised to be on top of the dance charts once again with his new original track, "Are You Satisfied?" with vocalist Deborah Cooper. It was Cooper, the former C&C Music Factory vocalist, who recorded the dance smash "Do It Properly" - the much anticipated collaboration between Victor and Peter Rauhofer (aka Club 69)
Calderone's long-awaited follow-up, E=VC2 VOLUME 2, is a record to be reckoned with. It is a deft, bruisingly thunderous fusion of soaring vocal anthems, hypnotic house tracks and a cavalcade of thunderous tribal beats. The flawlessly beat-mixed compilation is definitely not your run of the mill dance mix. Recorded live in the city that never sleeps, New York City, it is pure Victor Calderone. E=VC2 VOLUME 2 allows audiences from around the world a glimpse into the sonic frenzy that the DJ/producer/remixer extraordinaire creates every Saturday night.
However, Calderone's meteoric rise to dance music "superstardom" did not happen overnight. It wasn't until September of 1997 that Victor got one of his biggest breaks. He was invited by club-impresario Ingrid Casares of Miami's hotspot Liquid to become their resident Saturday night DJ. The crowd response was so overwhelmingly positive that he was asked to come back to Manhattan to spin as the featured guest DJ at several nightclubs. The guest spot eventually lead him to a Saturday night residency at the famed New York City nightclub, The Roxy.

Nominated for the #1producer and remixer in beatport.
.
Enormous Diverse Xample (of a genius) might not be an accurate but for sure a possible interpretation of the three letters EDX. Productive and successful for more then a decade, Italian native Artist, Producer, DJ, and multi-talent EDX, has been and still is a well known name in the dance since in and outside of his home base Switzerland. First time appearing in 1994 in the local dance scene as a mixer of various cassettes for then famous club Tarot, EDX climbed up the ladder of recognition, teaming up with Leon Klein and creating their project B2B as well as their own record label Club Control (with Intergoove/warner till 2002). They started to release their own productions which led to collaborations and remixes for big acts like Michael Procter, Armand Van Helden, DJ Tremendo, DJ Dado, Steve Angello, Pino Arduini or Kool & The Gang to name but a few. Now after having a creative break for more then three years, EDX is back on the block with a huge impact!! Taking off again in 2007 with his remix for Dubfire's hit "Roadkill", an armada of internationally acclaimed artists were requesting remixes from this man who seems to be on fire at the moment. The result can be heard in currently every house-djs sets playing his remixes he produced for Armin van Buuren, Sucker DJs, Sikk and last but definitely not least Deadmau5

55: Daniel Portman : Guest Mix :

Rated in the top 100 Beatport Artist
Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age. It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer. After a long ride of experimenting, he ended up with a bunch of tracks. “This sound will make me famous”; he thought. He went to different record companies and tried to sell his stuff, but the answers were always: “Please, close the door when you leave!”
So, Daniel went back to his small bedroom studio, made another bunch of tracks and along the way he stumbled into the porn industry. He played in different adult movies in order to pay his rent, but in the bottom of his heart, he always knew that one day he would become a huge music producer.
In 2006 he met Chris Reece, label owner of Unreleased Digital. All the years spent in his room producing his music finally paid off. Chris called Daniel only to ask him: “Where should I send the contract to?”
In April 2007, his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Because of the big response to his debut-track, Daniel started producing new material. Shortly after, in June 2007, his follow up EP “I never Sleep / Essence” was released.
Based on his success in 2007 he’s already a wanted name when it comes to remix requests. His version of Chris Reece’s “The Fall” has become the main mix of the successful single released through MYLO Recordings in December 2007. Further he only just delivered a remix for "Sultan & Ned Shepard” titled “One Day” released on Canadian label Harem.
With an amazing package of six stunning tracks, Daniel Portman returns with his new EP “Port Two” by March 20th, 2008.
